The Colombian Film Law offers a range of incentives that make Colombia an attractive and cost-effective destination for both national and international audiovisual productions. Through two main programs, the Colombian Film Fund (FFC) and the Audiovisual Investment Certificate (CINA), productions can access significant savings on their total costs.
Incentives and Benefits for Audiovisual Productions
1. Colombian Film Fund (FFC)
This program offers cash rebates that can represent between 25% and 30% of total production costs when filming in Colombia. The FFC provides a 40% rebate on audiovisual services (hiring local crew, equipment rentals, post-production, etc.) and a 20% rebate on logistical services (ground transportation, accommodations, and domestic flights). It’s ideal for productions looking for an immediate and direct cash return.

The CINA offers a more flexible option by providing a return in securities, with savings ranging from 20% to 27% of the total budget. This certificate represents 35% of eligible expenses, covering both audiovisual and logistical services. Although the return process involves selling this certificate on the Colombian financial market, it allows productions to access significant benefits.
